Activity Log 3/29/14

For 30 minutes i practiced my Spanish skills on duo lingo. I also spent 30 minutes watching Vines that were intended for a Spanish speaking audience. The Viners' names are Lucas Rangel, and Juanpa Zurita.

Video Synopsis

 Wrong place, Right Timing

        In this interesting videohttp://tv.20minutos.com/video/usa_kmnEFOX2-rescate-en-houston/0/ taking place in Montrose, downtown Houston, a man was rescued from a dangerous, fire burning building. There he appeared to be a construction worker, due to his atire of a hard hat and safety jacket. He was on a ledge of the deteriating apartment building, where he seemed to be contiplating on wether or not to jump. He quickly made a descision, and leaped to the ledge directly underneath where he was standing. Just in a nick of time, the fireman approached the ledge where he had jumped, and the brave victim climbed onto the ladder. Soon after, the building to began to turn to ashes and fall down. This was a miracle and the brave soul was rescued just in time.

AAPPL pw Reflection

I would rate myself as a N-3 level student. This is because I am able to list, identify, and name everyday things. I am also able to put these objects into simple, sometimes complex, sentences. My teacher is able to ,overall, interpret the meanings of my sentences.

In the video Oaxaca: Food of the New World, they teach us how to make traditional meals such as toleblanco and espado. They use corn in many of their dishes. Stoned soup, another famous dish they introduce to us in this video, is a dish that the men usualy cook to give the women a break. This video gives more information on how they eat. In The video Chile, it gives us a feel on how they blend different cultures and make it their own. This video blends more of the sea food varieties. They both gave us a feel on the food and culture that they live and breathe everyday.
